Our World

Casting a shadow of fear over their people’s life, the government controls.
The media plays in the hands of the dictator, a puppet on strings waiting for the show to begin.
Lives are lost for some futile attempt to gain control in a distant land.
Resources are pushed to the limit in a steady increase in demand.
Land is taken and reshaped.
Buildings materialize and choke the sky.
Cars scurry the ground like ants in battle.
Deaths are just ahead of births.
Madmen vision hostile take over’s, consumed by power.
Disease strikes every nation.
Bombs are dropped on the innocent, their existence only known as a statistic.
Corporations poison children’s minds.
Commercials create wants we never thought of.
Pollution turns icebergs into pools.
Species die as we overwhelm the earth.
The planet dies as we slowly suck the life out of it.
But what is their to do?
How can we change this?
We can’t and we won’t.
We’re just too stubborn for that
