It’s hard to explain
The feeling of sadness
Of feeling down and depressed
It just creeps up on you one day
Like a virus with no apparent source
And there you are, not knowing what to do
Having this unknown source eating you away
Having people stare at you and say “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know, I’m not feeling well, I think I’m getting sick”
And sick I am from this virus of depression
How else can you explain?
It’s a sickness that you will get better eventually
But when you’re sick, you feel like it will devour you
