Revenge

From the greedy darkness arises a want,
And after the hurt one goes it go haunt.

It taught him and shaped him but he could not see,
What this want had made him to be.

He had a strong thirst he did not understand,
Until his teacher told him what was planned.

It was heinous and nefarious and a terrible sin,
But if he had not liked it, it wouldn't have been.

It worked to avenge those who had died,
To make them like candles in a storm's eyes.

And only when finished did this one see,
What this want had made him to be.
