Christmas Lights Flourish In My Hall Way

He sang in the tunnel to Brooklyn
But it felt like an empty hallway
Their lips collided
Like the tangible benevolence from my day
On my finger tips
Inaudible mimes enjoyed their alone time
Lua is in his ears
But it's you he hears
These bullets were engraved with arrogance
The ballet girl would rather be in dance
Where she can take this loneliness
Take clay and sculpt it into happiness
They met where they wanted to
The place where he met you
Those panicked eyes floated through this place
Alternating between many quixotic lives
Picking and choosing each face very carefully
The girl's blood wasted in the hallway
Was the bewildering entertainment of the day
Its like the sun got thrown down into a hole
The moon was happy he got thrown out
The night needs a light to sit by
So the children can see it with their own eyes
I'm on this pendulum from dusk 'til dawn
My legs high up in the air
Chilling breeze in my coat
I tend to lean towards the rain
But the girls cute dance helps me refrain
I go back inside that hallway
She says, " The day will come,
He will forget about me, he just has to."
It's hard you know? Sitting in this room
To just walk out that hallway door
Take a dive out of this plane into the sky
Where I will see depressing mountains and silly clouds
The ones we used to make believe
This feeling I have for this hallway
Will remain immutable to me
All I have to do now, is fall
