The Moment Before the Leap

The moment before the leap
Is the scariest.
Up above the gleaming pool
All your fears collide
And you tremble
With insecurities
Though you know
It is safe
And the hugging waters
Will catch you into them.

The leap itself
The lifting of the feet and letting go
Is not scary at all.
You fall, you fall, you fall
And only realize you did it
When you feel
The embrace.

aaaaaahhhhhhh..........

...SPLOOSH!! Anticipation leading to the moment, any moment, is at times so much worse that the moment...and at others not nearly so wonderful as the moment. Take the plunge, Loni! This is fun, light, deep, dark. All the things life usually entails. I dig it.

You can meet God in the church of your choice
You can meet Woody Guthrie in Brooklyn State Hospital
You know, it's only my opinion, I may be right or wrong
But you can find both in the Grand Canyon at sundown
-Bob Dylan

thank you

you are definitely right about the moment before before much scarier than the moment after, which is what i was trying to convey. I will try to to take the plunge... thank you for commenting!
