her little arms weren’t strong enough
to keep her momma home
so that cold November morning
left a little girl alone
nothing to be thankful for
her momma closed the door
she had never asked for this
she didn’t want it anymore

but someone called the grandpa

his prayer answered up at wal-mart
by a wagon on a shelve
grandpa got the wagon down
and asked the lord for help .

carried her away from a broken home
and it’s only destination
where no one ever stays alone,
when she’s got her shinny wagon ,
that girls trouble seems to slip away
traveling round grandpas house
where they had learned to play
