McGilluddy's Goose
McGillicuddy’s goose paid a visit yesterday
Like she’s done most days since she first flew the coop,
She swims up and down the river honking merrily away
Who are we??
It’s a bit of a riddle, a bit of a game
We’re not related but our names are the same
Our children are cousins and that makes them kin
So where in this riddle do we two fit in
Monty - The Chinese Crested Dog
Please don’t laugh at my dog, he can’t help it
It’s just how he happens to be
And though you might think that he’s ugly
He really just looks cute to me
There's a river at the bottom of my garden
There’s a river at the bottom of my garden
And all kind of creatures live there
There’s Pelican Pete
With his great big webbed feet
There’s a heron, a fox and a hare
Fire in the Sky
When the day’s nearly over and evening is nigh
I sit on my verandah and gaze at the sky
As the red fades to pink and the colours grow faint
It’s moments like this that I wish I could paint
POEM FOR A PAEDOPHILE (A Mother's Wrath)
I’m sad to say my children’s lives
Were touched by such as you
And a Mother just can not forgive
Her hate burns through and through
My children’s lives are precious
I Wonder
Sometimes I stop to wonder
As I wander through my day
If any of the people
I encounter on the way
Ever stop to wonder
About love and life and such
And if they do I wonder
"You know your Grandad loves you?"
The little girl was frightened, especially at night
She tried to be big and brave; she tried with all her might
But the new room was so scary all alone and it was cold
Lorrie had a Little Lamb
When I was just a little girl
Drifting off to sleep
The sandman sometimes needed help
So then I counted sheep
I loved those woolly faces
As cute as cute could be
Freedom (Midnight the Wild Stallion)
Where lakes are like crystal and pastures are green
A herd of wild horses can sometimes be seen
With hooves striking thunder and eyes burning bright
Led by a stallion as black as the night
