Monty - The Chinese Crested Dog

Please don’t laugh at my dog, he can’t help it
It’s just how he happens to be
And though you might think that he’s ugly
He really just looks cute to me

I’ll grant he’s a little bit different
Maybe even a little bit strange
But if God made an offer to build him anew
There’s still not a lot I would change

He’s a perfectly sweet little fellow
And it’s certain that he’ll never shed
Well maybe except for a stray hair or two
From the topknot on top of his head

Because that’s about it for Monty
The rest of his body is bare
Except for his tail and his four little feet
They have a smattering of hair

And his teeth might be just a bit crooked
Well those he has left are, that’s true
But that doesn’t mean he’s an object of fun
So be kind if you see him pass through

And before you dissolve into laughter
Remember, he’s looking at you
And who knows, maybe he’s thinking
That you look a bit funny too
