A Little Bird Told Me
Lying in my hammock
Underneath the trees
The air it blows around me
Coming from a breeze.
I think the wind might know
What I’m thinking of
Cuz it keeps swirling round me
I think he knows its love.
He might have told that bird
As he was flying by
Now that bird keeps hovering
And listens to me sigh..
The bird just whispered
To the bee, that’s buzzing all round
He told him I loved you
But you’re nowhere to be found.
The butterfly landing on my arm
Was quite surprised to hear
That I have missed you dearly
For more than one whole year.
The cloud above me drew a heart
As if to give a hint
Now I know you love me too
Our names were there in print.!

i knew it was you two love birds who signed their initials in the wet cement and carved into the big oak tree behind the church on main street. The Pastor was so mad, the nuns said "bless their hearts".
