Sienna

Sienna

Your hair glistens like the sun on a warm afternoon
Smiles from your lips always brighten a room
Dancing around on your itty bitty toes
Did you know when you laugh you crinkle you nose?
How precious it is when you call out moms’ name
You love her so much and she does the same!
No, no, no is your new word of the day
That’s a very good thing, the experts would say.
You are an angel from heaven and spirits you lift
Everyone who loves you knows you’re a gift.
Sienna, Sienna can you please stay age two?
Or just stay the cute little person... that’s YOU!

love shines through

linda, your love shines through your words. Beautiful description of your child - I envy you the years ahead. Mine is grown up and gone - sad. Very good poem.

Thanks Joyce

actually, i wrote this one for my 25 year old son. his girlfriend has a two year old daughter, (sienna) and she is adorable. my husband and i love her. i enjoy watching how loving and attentive my son is towards her. he reminds me of how my husband was and still is with our kids.
im glad the "love shines through" on my poem. thank you for that so much!
