The Joy Of Golf....
When I stroll out to that tee
What’s underneath me?
A carpet of green
Most fragrant and clean.
My white tee pokes its nose
Down into the rug
And my little white ball sits
All tidy and snug.
With a wink of its eye
And one great big dimple
It whispers to me,
“Hit me, its simple”.
Swing away I sure did
With a mighty big twist
That little white orb
I almost missed
I land into the bunker
Take three to get out
Now I’m pissed more than ever
I can’t help it, I shout
“Don’t go into that water”
“Boy do I suck”
“What should I do to get better?”
“Is golf all just luck?”
I play golf for the beauty
It’s calm and serene
But I’m such a basket case
When I’m done with eighteen!

yeah, i like the social part of golf. its hard for me to focus 41/2 hours on golf...unless of course i have a cute caddie...haha

Lighthearted, captured the fun and frustration that is golf. I've been told a lot can be told about a person while playing a round I think it has to do with dealing with the frutration of the game. raskin

I'm not very good but it is always the capacity to improve ones skills and learn more. Plus I love the grounds, being outside. It always provides for some good stories. raskin

"tackling" golf is the right word...you could be so great one day then the next day its like you've never picked up a club...

Keep playing through...just remember that some can't even enjoy the frustration for themselves so never take that ability to be active and out like that for granted.
