Your Moms Love

Your Moms Love
by Linda O’Connell

Your mom is the sun’s rays shining down on you
She is droplets of water from fresh morning dew
And the sweet smell of the lilacs wafting through the air
Showing you her love and how much she cares.

On a summer day when the wind chimes you hear
That will be her whispering “I love you” in your ear
If a ladybug lands on your arm one fine day
She’s showing you strength in her own little way.

When a sun shower unexpectedly appears
That’s her attempting to wipe out your fears
She’s with you always as you well know
And gives you so many sweet ways that show

At night when the stars appear and twinkle so bright
She’s telling you sleep well, everything is all right
When the moon shines a light only you can view
She’s expressing her love, you feel it so true.

what a sweet poem!

this lovely peace made me slightly teary if im honest!,but i know something 4 sure,if i read this poem 2 yrs ago,it would not have affected me the way it did 2day,only after giving birth to my lill princess did i truely undertand the meaning of love, real love, love as in you would fight tooth and nail most literally, and sacrifice and suffer and die for your child....thanx for ur sweet poem,if i was to die while my daughter so young id like to think someone like you would give her kind words and peace of mind like youve shown in 'your moms love'.good write!

Thank you so much for your nice note. Everything you say about love and having a child is so true.
Your words to me are sweet, thank you,

Place in my heart

This is a beautiful poem that found a special place in my heart. With the recent passing of my father I can relate to this. I get little signs from my dad almost everyday1 Thank you for sharing this!
