Him, Them And Her

HIM, THEM AND HER
Beep! Beep! Beep! The clock sounds off,
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! He’s up and off,
Work! Work! Work! On through the day,
Done! Done! Done! No more to say.
Red! Red! Red! He sees when home,
Hate! Hate! Hate! Burns to the bone,
Fist! Fist! Fist! Thrown out in rage,
Plead! Plead! Plead! Scared of a cage!

Beep! Beep! Beep! They run amok
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! Still they are stuck,
Work! Work! Work! They go to school,
Done! Done! Done! Back where it’s cruel,
Red! Red! Red! They’re scared to death,
Hate! Hate! Hate! It’s all that’s left,
Fist! Fist! Fist! Can they forget?
Plead! Plead! Plead! Please, let’s reset.

Domestic aggressions
Are prevalent today,
Mankind needs a lesson
Taught in another way.

Beep! Beep! Beep! She wakes in fright,
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! Should make it right,
Work! Work! Work! A time for peace,
Done! Done! Done! Now on her knees,
Red! Red! Red! Within her eyes,
Hate! Hate! Hate! The lord of flies,
Fist! Fist! Fist! Wish she could throw,
Plead! Plead! Plead! Him to the crows!

Domestic aggression
It’s the curse of mankind,
Maybe it’s the lesson
That we needed to find!
…So we could live and learn
And maybe change the way,
And take the other turn
Where mankind’s being saved!
