I Will Make It (Chapter 7)

A sturdy job
A brand new start,
The monkey’s, off
And tame thus far.
The ten-grand debt
Diminishing,
In tiny steps
It’s vanishing.
Obligations!
The legal kind,
Reparations
For minor crimes,
Are next to pay
With fathers’ loan,
Small steps again
Till I’ve atoned.

I will make it, I’m more then sure
I will make it, give in no-more.
I will make it, I’m determined
I will make it, will-power wins.

The boarding house
I now call home,
Is what allows
Me to atone,
For what I did
And what I owe,
After I hid
For years alone,
So I might free
Myself from debt,
Without really
One single step,
Towards freedom;
My liberty,
So in the end
I became me.

I will make it, I guarantee
I will make it, and become me
I will make it, a victory
I will make it, I guarantee.
I have made it, I won the fight
I have made it, the ends in sight,
I have made it, through dark and light
I have made it part of my life!
