Just Dream Away
JUST DREAM AWAY
Have you ever just lain in a field?
And stared off to the sky,
Saw the clouds above as something else
And become mesmerized.
Well, that’s the ultimate in freedom
Daydreaming all alone,
Lost in your own imagination
When you are fully grown.
Have you ever just relaxed so much?
You drooled upon yourself,
In the iris of the public eye
Regardless of your wealth,
Well, then you’re comfortable in your skin
And no place can compare,
To the sensations of daydreaming
Where you don’t have to care.
Just dream away
And find a better place,
Where you can stay
And shun this world’s rat race.
Have you ever, just fallen asleep?
Once you have caught a lift,
And awoken in a state of fright
Not sure of where you sit.
Had those around you, stare in a glance
And wished you could return,
To the peaceful realm of daydreaming
Every one of us yearns.
Have you ever gone, to wet a line?
And waited for that bite,
And missed the peck of an eight pound Cod
Surrendered to the fight.
Found more tantalizing attributes
Hiding in your own mind,
In the form of wanton daydreaming
It’s the crucial unwind.
Just dream away
When you feel so up tight,
Another day
Of feeling so damn, right!
Have you ever, been among a crowd?
Of your friends and cohorts,
Without a clue found your attention
Chronicled slightly short.
Well, you have dreamed, a sincere dream
During that day, at hand,
And during that moment in your life
Enjoyed the upper hand.
Have you ever, been alone? COMPLETE!
And lost track of the world,
Interacted in a fantasy
With every finger curled.
Well, daydreaming, is the benefit
You gain from living life,
When you slip away from everything
And hold that bloody Knife.
Just dream away
Where there isn’t a care,
No need to pray
Cause you’re already there
Have you ever, paid attention to?
The ramblings of friends,
And walked away so oblivious
Of the message being sent.
Well you have found that inner sanctum
Where the world just fades away,
When you should have paid attention too
But daydreamed away the day.
Have you ever, seen, all fall apart?
And lay littered on the ground,
But just didn’t comprehend or care
Since you never heard a sound,
Cause you succumbed, in whole, to your dream
For serenity beckoned,
And just what, in hell, is wrong with that?
Nothing at all I reckon.
Just dream away
When the world pulls you down,
Ignore the fray
And minimize your frown.
