Moonlight

In the tranquillity of night
Illuminating spots of light,
Speckle the darkened sky above
And inspire my lunar love.
The ghostly, distant sphere, casts down
A subtle plume of light, to ground,
Billowing clouds drift softly through
And peacefully obstruct my view,
Then waft off to the other side
Allows moonlight to catch my eyes,
The muse for what I’m writing now
The reason for this solemn vow...

I’ll write by night
I’ll never stop,
Under moonlight
My pen gets hot!

Thanks Heaven

I was looking at the darkened sky about a week ago and realised I write just about everything when the sun goes down. Thanks for reading
