My Explanation

MY EXPLANATION
You always say I’m negative
Well, I guess it’s obvious,
That I’m always apprehensive
And my writings, tentative,
They are only what I’m thinking
Every minute of each day,
That humanity is sinking
Please show me the other way.

I think through negativity
I search for the positive,
Hoping that eventually
Good will conquer negative,
But to me it never seems to
So I write the words I say,
Tear in eye, for what man’s been through
And endures, now, today.

It’s hard to see the positives
When the negatives amount,
When all of mankind’s a captive
To this fight I write about,
The news confirms my every word
It seems dismay and pain count,
Regardless, now, of what you’ve heard
I dislike being in doubt.
