Holy Father, Holy Ghost, the divine trinity
Why does your word cost the most when preached from our T.V.s?
Did you assign dollar signs to cover over-heads?
Or does it unfold exactly like I’d always said?
The more they want the more they trust as long as they’re part
Of something they’ve allowed to completely swell their hearts,
Would god really require a cover-charge from us?
And if so, how, in his name can anybody trust,
A word of graven scripture bereft of holy words
That revolves around bleeding those of their fiscal world,
Well I for one won’t pay a cent for my salvation
I’ll simply live honestly avoiding damnation.
