The Best Brother

There is a bloke I know, who’s shy and introverted
His caliber of character’s, never been asserted,
A BMX champion, who lead me through the fray
The one person in my life, I am proud of, here, today.
With incidents from Jinker Tracks, throttled saying HI!
Rusty cracking teeth, and a drunken; “Are you and Chris; right?”
To the weekends spent fishing, in our prized Haines-Hunter
She was blue, but she included the only best brother.

In later life, I confess, that I do not know much
I only know, life crippled, and then kicked, in two, his crouch,
Solace he discovered, life with Linda seems so grand
So many times that beckoned but this time with open hands.
And, I wanna be somebody, be somebody too,
Was a lyric stolen from me, then from him, by me too.
I know things, seen by him, would make a grown man shudder
But the way that he coped with it, makes him the best brother.

Now you could know the guy, that these words are penned about
The uninformed only saw an inebriated lout.
I am trying, with these words, to mend this narrow view
So you can see the nobility, in him, as I do.
You see, no-one else compares, when you are in a jam
He will be the first one there, reaching out to you, his hand,
Now god overlooked this saint. Jason Sydney Parker
So in-lieu of gods' graces, I dub thee, The Best Brother.
