The Hunted's Rights

So unequivocally one sided
No possible fair fight,
A mother and her young, divided
Once they are in your sights.
The penultimate, of that species
Which one is next to kill?
So... Which population decreases?
So you can get your fill?

Well your safari, wall-hung trophies
Mean bugger all to me,
When they’re surrounded by your sentries,
They have no chance to flee.
Now tell me, how the hell is this sport
When it isn’t equal?
Well... Just how many would you have caught?
Without an aimed rifle?

They only kill to defend or feed
They don’t kill on a whim,
For you it’s amusement not a need
Somehow you always win.
The endangered species multiply
Why aid this equation,
They too, have the right to occupy
This everyday haven.

100% agree

I totally agree with all this, very well written, on an important subject, because when they're gone, their gone, everybody should read this poem, good job.
