Remember when we knew it all
When we had it all worked out?
Back when we were playing ball
When we knew without a doubt,
That life would flow the way we want
Cause it had no other choice,
Arguing? There was no point
We only heard that inner voice.
Then came the transition
From child into adult,
So much imposition
We had no choice but to revolt.
And protest our beliefs
‘Cause surely we were right,
Only we’d been forced on knees,
Only we had lost our rights.
So now it’s come full circle
As everything in life will do,
Since I’ve cleared so many hurdles
I was rewarded a unique view…

The only difference between young and old
I’m telling you, is nothing worse,
Then respect the stories that they’ve told
They got to do everything first!
