There's this guy I know
I met him one day on the job
I appeared to him of interest
So to me, he pulled the knob.

The door he opened seemed legit
With each step, he came correct
His demeaner was so pleasant that
His heart you couldn't reject.

He started out wanting to give
But his expectations were too high
Just because a girl seems alone
Doesn't mean she needs a guy.

Maybe she just needs some time
Time to be by herself
Maybe it's just one of those things
And not always life or death.

To be honest, I like him
He appears to be OK
Although he is somewhat shorter
But who cares bout that anyway.

If things had been different
Oh well, they are not
So our lives are all bout work
And work is all we've got.
