Willing To Give It Up
I always heard about heaven
Fantasized about how it looked
Wondered who all was there
No more wondering... I'm in the book.
Think about the aroma from flowers
When it first hit your nose
Think about the feel of the wind
On your arm, face, ah... your toes.
Vision being on Mount Rushmore
Yes... you're on top of the world
Vision your mate on his knees
Proposing with a diamond or pearl.
Listen to the churping of the birds
The melody that they make
Listen to your heart thump
When in love for goodness sake.
Heaven is filled with everything
Your wants & desires are real
No need to want for anything
What an awaking ordeal.
Yes... yes... I'm heavenly bound
In every sense of the word
Am I willing to give it up
Ludicrous unlikely, absurd.

nice read....
but is that really what u see as heaven?....my expectations are greater....life's no heaven no matter how happy u are, cuz it'll all die including u and I....heaven is eternity, sayin that tho, it made me smile to read ur poem, its obvious u appreciate life instead of moaning bout it.....peace.
I wrote that poem about 4
I wrote that poem about 4 years ago. Then, that was my view. Maybe alittle naive and fleshly, but then, it gave me hope. Now, like you say, it is much greater. Thanks for your comment.
