I’m going to stay up ‘til midnight
It’s the first time that I’ve been allowed
It’s New Year’s Eve and the TV’s on
As my parents don’t like me in crowds

I’m going to watch all the fireworks
When Big Ben proudly tells us it’s time
I’ll sing Auld Lang Syne with my family
And drink boldly from my glass of wine

There’s only an hour to wait now
As I will all my yawning away
My mission’s to see the New Year in
And it’s right here that I’m gonna stay

I see that there’s not long to go now
