The spider crawls across the floor
Beside my leg and past the door
He's eaten by a hiding rat
Who chokes upon our kitchen mat

They both then die and spider finds
He's got a different shape and mind
He's come back as another rat
Is smug until he sees our cat

The cat then tries to eat him whole
But finds he's bigger than the moles
We watch as Tiddles chokes to death
The rat cuts off his final breath

The rat who was the spider first
Is praying he has seen the worst
When he looks down he sees a bed
Our rat is now a cat instead

He doesn't know why he is here
But knows there's nothing left to fear
There's nothing bigger than a cat
He's seen all things, and that is that

He's wrong but doesn't realise
Until he sees the stony eyes
Of our new pet, a hairy dog
And has to hide behind a log

It's often found and has been said
That you eat spiders while in bed
That's just what happened to our friend
Although he choked, which meant his end

He found that if you die as well
As any other animal
You switch with them when you come back
Now spider's happy in his crack

Funny As Hell

I enjoyed this one. Many thanks.
