Spare Pair
As close as both a spoon and bowl
Your happiness my only goal
Though time away tears me apart
I know you’re still there in my heart
We’re meant to be like sand and sun
A fish with chips or clowns and fun
In every moment that we share
We always make the perfect pair
A raging river with strong rain
Both hot and cold taps, sink and drain
So many things I could suggest
To get these feelings off my chest

This
is pretty cute, you could add a lot here it could go on into infinity. raskin
Thanks
for the great comment. I wanted to keep this one short so that it didn't drag too much. I did consider extending it slightly, but felt that keeping it short would give the point in the most direct manner.
I suppose
it's hard to rhyme squirrel and acorn. raskin
Hmm...
I think there's a very specific technique involved to achieve this!
Lovely Poem
Very well written, it makes me feel all warm inside! I like the analogies you have used here, and think that the length of the poem is perfect.
