Mysteriously you loom there
In the shadows by the door
I’m unaware of your presence
My clothes scattered across the floor

The music is playing loudly
I’m in my underwear
I sing a little off key
As I dance without a care

I grab the brush from off the dresser
And I climb up on the bed
Now I have a stage and a microphone
And an undiscovered audience

I’m jamming out with my air-guitar
As I am leaping up and down
And as the song comes to conclusion
I’m awarded with applause

Shocked I look to the shadows
Near the entrance of my room
You are whistling and clapping
Like I was number one

Embarrassed for a moment
When I realize what you’ve seen
But I stand erect and take a bow
And enjoy my moment of glory
