within the dementors’ realm
destroying the heterogeneous melancholy
rippling ironically through the maelstrom
of thunderous silence left behind
as an ignominious sign
foretelling the coming despair
ignited by the egotistical and maniacal
madness of a superficial confidence man
bent on the annihilation of democratic principals
long held as indispensable and incontrovertible
woe is he who vainly substitutes conceit for humility
moreover portrays himself as beyond decrees
further distancing himself from long established
customs while creating new machinations
as a means of denying freedom to ward off
healthy bipartisan criticism
as well as a denial of self-inflicted wounds
leading society to be crushed
under the weight of perpetual hatred
lauded as the way and the light leading to
cries that can be heard in lands far and wide
it is this disunity and intolerance that leads
to strife and incessant disillusionment
further alienating a dispirited electorate
while fomenting the fringes
thus igniting distrust, distaste and delusion
while the disenchantment and distraught froths forth
drowning hope, innocence and ideals
