Chance Ruined

There she stood, a meter away...
Her blond hair blowing, merry and gay...
She wore a dress, blued, matching her eyes...
I stood there glued, dreaming our ties...

We were in a field, full of trees-
I wanted to her seize, but my hands were full of grease...
She was rich and I the opposite...
And my house was just a ditch, for us unfit...

I looked at her just a dare...
Suddenly she saw me, she looked so fair...
She came to me, and sat beside me...
“What are you doing? I m Lee...”

I knew it was a dream, which would end in a second...
By the sun’s gleam, I do recon...
But my yield, thoughts away...
As the blond sealed, I say...

She didn’t give a chance,
Only a glance...
On next opportunity-
I’ll take her to France!
