LUCKY SLY FOX
The horns
Their blowing
Tally ho
The humans say
They set their hounds
After me
I must escape
They chase me for pleasure
No
It must be hate
Oh no
Silly me
It’s just a little fun game
A nice sport for the
Rich bored humans
My hearts a pounding
My legs are like led
The hounds are gaining
They smell my death
Got to keep running
And find my den
I see a small hole
It will just fit me in
The hole runs deep
I’m pleased to say
Now I will rest
Hope the threat goes away
My hearts a pounding
I feel exhausted
I hear the hounds barking
Trying to enter
The human horns blowing
Making a din
Minutes are passing
My fear at its peak
The hounds are retreating
A sigh of relief
A sly cunning fox
Was nearly beat
I’m now safe
Until
The next hunting feast.
