A squirrels coat is mainly red
With a patch of white upon his chest

He lives in trees that are way up high
Gathering nuts for winter time

He has long ears and a bushy tail
He has strong teeth for cracking nut shells

With his small eyes and a little black nose
Senses any trouble that may come along

The squirrels sleep all through winter
Waiting till spring enters their door.
