Driving To The Moon
We drove out the driveway
and into the street .
We drove through the traffic in the city heat .
We drove from the city,
We drove to the sea,
We drove past a mountainside my Dad and me .
We drove in the countryside over a hill ,
We drove ever so fast and it was a thrill .
We drove to the edge of the border and then
We drove through a river somewhere in a Glen .
We drove in the rain and we drove through the snow .
We drove over a bridge and saw the moon glow .
We drove for a week and we drove for a day
We drove to the moon that’s very far away .
