Decisions, Decisions
Decisions, Decisions
by Helen George
The ice cream truck, a summer delight,
Brings a smile of joy, a face lit up bright.
Hurry mom, we don't want to be late,
On the corner we stand, can hardly wait.
Decisions, decisions, oh what shall it be?
So many choices I'm thinking with glee.
Chocolate, vanilla, or raspberry swirl?
Heavens to Betsy, my mind's in a whirl.
We stand in line, awaiting our turn,
And my mind, once again, tumbles and churns.
Now I think it's ok, I've decided, at last,
I know what I want, my mind's made up fast.
And I say to the man, "Strawberry, please,"
As mom gives my hand a gentle squeeze.
