Standing Steady
Standing steady and proud,
Clutching to the soil.
She unknowingly exists to bring peace and serenity.
The icy wind blows each tiny leaf,
And they all move in the same direction,
At the same time,
Like a chorus of ballerinas.
Just as elegant,
Just as beautiful.
The little pink flowers drop delicately towards their soft
Cushion of green grass,
Creating a patchwork blanket
That will keep the ground warm.

Very good, Melissa
A very peaceful, gentle write. I like this one a lot.
As always -
Thank you, TJ. Glad you like it. FYI - this poem was written in London, on a cold Autumn day.

Thanks, Raskin :)
Appreciate your feedback! Must take a look at a few more of your poems - what I have read in the past has always been great. Keep it coming (although I have no doubt you will...)!
