The Centre of the Rose
You're the centre of the rose.
I'm trying to find my way home to you
But I'm just spiraling round and round...
Getting lost in the crevices.
Come pick me up out of them,
Please,
Because I'm lost and I need your help.
I need your help.
I need to lie in your soft petal-arms,
I need to feel your skin enveloping mine,
I need you to kiss my tears and
Hold my hand.
I need to reach out
and know you're there
In the centre of the rose,
where the thorns of life can't reach me anymore
and where life smells good.

i enjoyed this poem very
i enjoyed this poem very much because i like the subject the idea of being trapped in the rose but the rose has so many warm passionate connotations but it seems that this natural element has a negative connotation to because it seems to be obstructing you to getting to the centre, very imaginative well done!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I love getting feedback!!
