A new life we've made and a wonderful burden
We'll always be there when they are hurtin
So soft and tiny they make little fists
We shower them with love and we give them gifts
All pink and glowing they wiggle their toes
Where life takes them nobody knows
We lie and rest and try to get some sleep
But we have to go in and take another peek
All curled up and nestled in their beds
They hear us come in and they move their heads
They start to pull up and stand on their own
We look at the wonderful seed we've sown
Falling and walking they learn on their own
We teach what we can and then their grown
THey always do what's needed to do
When they were little we kissed all their boo boo's
Their eyes how curious and bright they are
They always wished on a shining star
WE look back on our times with them
When we are old we say dear remember when
