Crimson Silk
The clouds come like elephants walking in herd
Angry giants gliding across the midnight sky
They wear coats of black and gray
An attempt to disguise their presence
But in the chasms of one a light escapes
Peaking curiously down through a tiny relief
Scarlett rays dance upon the clouds
Like crimson sheets of silk
The blood red moon bravely fights
These disfigured warriors
A moment revealed in all its majesty
But now it is being swallowed
Its faint glow retreats
The giants growl a warning
That shakes the sleepy earth
And onward they march
Victorious
