autumn
I see myself in the little girls
chasing leaves and cherry petals
as autumn sheds its colour and paints the earth
the wind caresses the branches...a twig creaks and slowly dances thru the air to make melody with the earth below
the dry leaves rustle to the sound of the whispering breeze,
the sun in its mystic lure smiles a benign smile.
The orange hue enveloping the clouds emphasize the melancholy of a fading day.
Its beautiful!
In reverence i stand, listening to the whistle of a cool breeze heralding the winter air.Its sad to bid autumn a goodbye but GOD in nature has his surprise in the silver wintry sky

It is a lovely portrait of a beautiful time of year. Have you been to Vermont in the fall, if not, you should try to get there. It is magnificent! Thanks for a really beautiful poem.

You are racing on to autumn and winter in a big hurry here sweetheart. You had some nicely descriptive sections within this piece. I'm not sure but in line 2 of stanza 3 I believe you meant to say benign.
