cicadii

As the day wears into an evening
the prayer bells chant a hymn
A noisy neighbour in prayer drowns
the sound of cicadii in the tree

The prayer bells chime...a pause...of the moving hand rising in supplication
And in the silence...the cicadii sings paens to the Almighty's moving finger.

It's Pretty

Mimi,

Admission time here...I am not the most religeous person walking the earth but i can tell you that I liked the sound of this piece. I respect the beliefs of all who embrace their particular religeon as long as they don't feel the overriding need to witness to me or save my immortal soul.

Different subject: I can't belive that a few of my recent posting have garnered no comments, especially "The Curtains Raises for Act Two" and "The Velver Noose".
Sometimes it just amazes me.

Keep em coming,

Pete
