THE QUEST
WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING I COULDN'T FIND
WAS IT SOMETHING I HAD LEFT BEHIND?
I TRAVELLED ON ROADS ,BYE WAYS AND LANES
SANG BALLADS AND SONGS AND RELIGIOUS PAENS
WALKED THRU CHURCH DOORS ,TEMPLES AND MORE
UNTIL ONE DAY I SLUMPED ON THE FLOOR
"GOD ,I AM SO UNHAPPY AND CONFUSED,
TAKE THIS LIFE "
I CRIED
AS DUTY BECKONED I WALKED THRU THE DOOR
BUT SOME THING HAD CHANGED THAT MUCH I WAS SURE
FOR A JOY UNBIDDEN CREPT TO MY CORE
I KNEW THEN...
WHAT I HAD NOT FOUND ANYWHERE BEFORE
THAT DAY I FOUND ON MY WOODEN FLOOR

Let Me Guess
Mimi,
Now this is just my uneducated guess but what I'm thinking is that you had dropped to your knees and turned your search over to the higher power and He answered your prayer. Am I close.
He read my piece about my poetry showcase mob, you have been immortalized in it.
Happy Monday,
Pete
an intelligent guess as any

Great Poem Mimi, it seems we both had to reach "our bottom" before finding "our truths". Both our bottoms and truths may be different but what we found to fill our "core" and "hole" seems to be the same. It makes my heart glad knowing there is an answer :)
Sincerely
ron
