I needed a word of solace
or maybe not just a word,
but a sentence to save me,
to release me from confinement

I needed to be shown the bluest sky
and the most radiant sun
the world has ever seen
then, lie there in the greenest grass
to absorb it's entirety.

I had to be pleasantly awoken
and so subtly brought back to reality
where I could release illusion
and embrace time.

I had to realize I'm not alone
I'm not further
than the extension of a hand
and I'm perfectly capable of reaching too
I'm not that far gone
I'm back
I have what I needed

& this is the revolution within myself
--all a feeling emerging out of time,
out of a moment,
this moment, which you are
and not a second less.
