Old Friend? Was I just a Psychic Vampire?
Old Friend?
Remember when?
We shared a moment?
Remember when…
We exchanged smiles
The years shift not only the trees
Decaying to amber the hazel shades
Time rakes his fallen leaves
Mementos of passing memories litter the wayside
Comrades a ship docked to the bay side
Remember the nights that shouldn't end?
Old Friend?
The laughs and jokes
our own private language
Old Friend,
wounds never without bandage
Has it come to this?
That we're now strangers
in strange lands
Do our hands
clutch if we meet?
Will you pass by me on an empty city street?
Who are you...
Aren't you...?
Didn't we know each other from...?
It really has been a while
Since we were brothers
Couldn’t forget it
Could it be a lie?
Couldn’t remember
Couldn’t try
Sometimes I'll bump into your poltergeist during a dream
Rapid eye movements portraying time's painted pictures
Lovely, Lovely, brushstrokes of serene
Good old days, so good
but so aged
Old Friend?
Was I just a psychic vampire?
Ever flashback to the old minutes, too?
old friend?
Who are you?

Good stuff
I think this is my favourite of all the poems I've seen in here.
Old Friend
Good to hear from you Ex-Jedi. I'm happy you liked this one. It's crazy how people we used to spend everyday with become strangers sometimes. Time and different locations make things like that, I guess.
