She turned the corner, long beautiful hair
Flowing. As pretty as a mockingbird.
I called to her, only to trip, to there
Nothingness, my pretty woman was unheard.

I woke on the street, a bruise on my head.
I had fallen, but I, did not know why
I then recalled why I tumbled like lead
It was the fake girl, she looked oh so shy!

I resolve to think my lover unreal
In anger I view my horrid misjudge
I think, she’s just one, there’ll be more, I feel
I am a dummy, a fool, hopeless in love

In the end, all is well, as happy as can be,
I’ve got me a gal, a real one, you’ll see!
