Jasmine Night
Through velvet clouds of the serpentine evening
We walk on rays of starlight
The cloudy patterns of winter solstice
Drawing us on, 'neath Orion's guiding arms
Precious jasmine scent
Sweet intoxication of the night
'Neath a malachite sky
The Sassanid monarch of the midnight heavens
Wearing the golden crown of the Moon
Watches silently over flickering stars
And fleecy clouds
The grass swaying to the magical scent of this jasmine night.

Thank you, Willow.
Glad you enjoyed my poem, inspired by a walk I took under the stars, with jasmine in the air. Here in South Florida, the sweet scent of jasmine and gardenia flowers fill the air on certain nights. I love it!

Glad you enjoyed my poem. I am really inspired by experiencing nature and the night sky in solitude. It sometimes gives me a mystical feeling, which I try and capture in poetry.

Thank you, Rosie
I am humbled by your kind words. There is just something enchanting and surreal about taking a stroll under the stars with the jasmine wafting through the air. Brings out the poetry within!
