In this world small children are abound,
yet there is a place that none can be found.
Lots of room in home and heart for caring,
but she has no chance of childbearing.
Practical, competent, able, secure...
She knows somewhere a child waits for her.
Determined to believe in her karma,
will be a child to call her Momma.

I wouldn't change a thing. I feel the pain and desperation come through with what you have here. Adding more will take away from your intent.
IMHO, this is a fine piece as is...
