Stolen sky

How could you steal the satin sky
The moment when I stepped on it?
You left the comets fall and die
Smashed by taxis on the street.

I caught the moon and skinned my knees;
Although the moon was broken too
It held me up above the trees:
That crock was friendlier than you.

And when you came and cracked the moon
I fell on our willow tree
That was supposed to witness soon
Another flight of falling me.

Because you've burned the willow down,
Destroying everything we've had
And now I watch its autumn crown
Bursting flames above my head.

You fold the sky and pack it up.
My dear, you've turned into a beast.
You've stolen all. Why don't you stop?
Why don't you leave the ground at least?

Imagery

I enjoyed the imagery, though I found some of it confusing.
Of course, that is also why I enjoyed it.
