Thank God we're not together
My love for you was worth a life
With thunderstorms to weather.
I was about to be your wife.
Thank God we're not together.
We meet the dusk and dawn apart
In distant motels, distinct beds,
With two, distinctive plots per heart
And stories printed in our heads.
We go to sleep two times a night
But still, we see a common dream
Where me and you, in shattered light
Still love each other and redeem.
We wake up sweated, at a time
Then make a shower, drink a tea
And take a walk through rain and slime
To think again of you and me.
And so, we keep this fairy-tale
As pure, as angel's feather.
A dream can never crash and fail.
Thank God we're not together.

Accolades
Dearest Nitta, stuff I read
That’s here is verses blank indeed,
And blank not metered I don’t like,
So I was set to ride my bike.
But you I found and I’ll not leave,
For with you here I’ll never grieve,
For writing done by you is such
To me delight and very much.
For I like meter first of all
And blank to me but tends to gall,
So rest assured, oh, dearest one,
I’m staying here if you don’t run.
For I am fond of how you say
Your dialogue when it’s risqué,
And all about your love affairs
Be in the car or on the stairs.
So you can see you are to me
A needed godsend verily,
So here I stay, if nothing more,
To read your writes from shore to shore.
Ovations, Dalton Nevels
COMPLIMENT IN SPADES
ANNA BEAUTIFUL
Lisnic Anna, My, you’re cute!
Oh! Quite you are indeed,
So very, really, truly much
Sweet Venus you exceed.
And lyrics to a verse you write
With skill beyond your years,
To make me wonder verily
How worrisome your tears.
But clever write or write or not
You are a sheer delight,
In how you look decidedly
Regardless how you write.
Sincerely, Dalton Nevels
