A Poem For Darlie Routier
This is apoem written on behalf of an innocent young mother on Death Row in Texas, USA.
I know not how my sister meets her day,
The day without the touch of loving hands.
Belief can change what haunts the troubled clay,
Thus we aspire to see the peaceful lands.
I know not how my sister sees her day,
I cannot imagine what it is like
To have those days. I am without a way
To know her life or live out her fight.
I know not how my sister makes her day,
We keep the faith, we fight for what is right,
We know that truth is stronger than their nay,
The lies they say slows not the holy fight.
Truth triumphs over all those haunting lies,
We make the snoozing people hear her cries.

Darlie
Your sister deserves a new trial, no question about it. I think she is and has been treated horribly. And I know a whole lot about this case. Lots of lies and cover-ups, etc.
I really liked your poem. It speaks from the heart. It must be horrible to be where she is. And it must be equally horrible to have to suffer not seeing her when you want and not hugging her and I guess most of all not being able to get her out. I hope you get to visit her a lot.
I'm so sorry for it all

Darlie Routier
She is not literally my sister. it is a metaphor brought on by sympathy. If you sympathize with her, you could look her as you sister as well.
Darlie
Darlie stands out as the poster child for women wrongly treated by our police and judicial system. That makes her the sister of everyone of us.
I wish there would be a nationwide petititon for her to be released from prison to await a new trial - and this time a fair one - if they are willing to be fair.
