Cut Down

They have tree huggers for the rain forest,
When nature's almost facing it's extinction,
Many run to it's aid although the trees don't have feelings.
When a tree is going to be cut down,
Many don't hesitate to protest and frown.

What comes of us?
Human beings-you and I,
We face stress and we get less.
We have emotions that send us through motions.
We have lives that obtain others-
But, we're cut down more than the trees in the rain forest.

Sometimes I know they don't mean to,
I reason with what I've lived through.
No one always runs to my aid,
I never expect them to,
They have never stayed till the end.
I've hit the ground by the tearing of your words,
I've been cut down,
I've been brought down.

It's rare to find a hug.
It sometimes feels hard to find true love.
It's not easy don't you see!
If a tree can get love,
If the rain forest can motivate us,
Why do we cut each other down?
Why do we harm one another?

We say it's alright,
But, by night-
Someone's gone before the break of dawn.
The tears that fall,
Our stumbling feet that bring us to a crawl,
No one notices until it's gone,
No one sees the hurts until it's been descriptively drawn.

Hear the call for you,
Know that this pain will soon subside,
There are some that will stand by your side.
No one's perfect,
Everyone's a suspect.

When the rain poors in,
When we feel like falling apart from within,
Even before we begin-
Some see as I-refuse to run and hide-
Respects a person more,
Respects a life more,
Making sure never to leave you on the floor.

God will give you an open door,
True friends who will love and adore,
True friends who will not leave you alone.
So, don't live your life cut down anymore.
Don't live like before.

Beautifull

A beautifully written piece, that speaks volumes.
