I'm Imperfect

The broken glass of my life's been shattered.
Once again, all the pieces are scattered.
I made my point clear,
I told you the truth right here.
Another unclear year,
All the broken pieces caused me to fear,
All the obscene things brought me to tears,
I know things aren't as they always appear.

I told you I wasn't Barbie,
I wrote it down with that black Sharpie.
I told you I couldn't meet the status quo,
Freezing, the temperature dropped way below.
You told me not to go,
You told me I wasn't your foe.
With patience, you said “Together we'll grow,”
But, when all of me is disclosed will you still show.

In many ways, I'm imperfect.
I don't mean to show any disrespect,
But, you have to see perfect is incorrect.
Ingenious, You far surpass me to detect,
My heart's true intent.
Captive, I don't want to be a suspect.
Notice it and don't neglect it,
I admit, I commit, I submit...this is legit.
